About

A neighborhood noticeboard for help, kept honest by amanah.

Amanah Moradabad is run by local people for local people. We do not collect or hold money. We verify needs carefully, publish them with dignity, and let supporters give directly to the family or vendor.

Why we exist

Three problems with how charity usually works online.

1

Money sits

Platforms pool donations and pay out slowly. We never take custody — money goes direct.

2

Dignity is lost

Sad photos, full names, family details — all to drive donations. We publish only what is necessary.

3

Numbers are flattering

Pledged, paid, and confirmed get merged into one big number. We keep them separate, always.

Why we work this way

Rooted in the Quran and the Sunnah

These aren't our principles. They're older than us. We just try to keep them in software.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُبْطِلُوا صَدَقَاتِكُمْ بِالْمَنِّ وَالْأَذَىٰ

O you who have believed, do not invalidate your charities with reminders or injury.
Quran 2:264
This is why we do not publish photos, full names, or sad family detail. The receiver's dignity comes before the donor's recognition.
Seven will be shaded by Allah on the Day there is no shade — among them, one who gives in charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has spent.
Sahih Bukhari 1469 · Sahih Muslim 1031
This is why donor names are anonymous by default and there is no public donor leaderboard.
The giver should hide his giving as he hides his sin — fearing that the receiver may feel humbled by it. The hand that gives must not feel above the hand that takes.
Imam al-Ghazali · Ihya Ulum al-Din, Book of Etiquette of Giving
This is the etiquette behind every dignity-safe summary on the case pages: we publish only what the support requires — never more.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تُؤَدُّوا الْأَمَانَاتِ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهَا

Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due.
Quran 4:58
We never hold money on the platform. Donor funds are an amanah, and the surest way to render them is to never take custody in the first place.

Where we draw the line

Things we will never do

  • Hold or pool donor money on the platform
  • Publish a face or full name without consent
  • Show flattering totals that mix promises with confirmed receipts
  • Run leaderboards or public donor rankings
  • Forward private contact details to anyone outside the verifier team
